Classic | Adding an Individual Employee Record

About

New employees who join the company must be loaded onto the payroll in the current processing period to receive payment. Employees can be uploaded in bulk or loaded individually. This article focuses on adding an individual employee record.

NextGen or Classic

The Classic version is the name given to the previous look and feel of the system. Important to note, both NextGen and Classic point to the same database. No data migration is therefore applicable.

Pre-defined Workflow Path

The system offers a pre-defined workflow path that will guide you through the sequence of adding a new employee. The Add New Employee Generic Workflow consists of the following screens:



Workflow Buttons

While adding a new employee, the following Workflow Buttons will be available:



Employee Pre-Registration Screen

Before creating a new employee record, access to the relevant company and frequency, the employee should be added to.

Navigation: Employee Menu>Add New Employee

Once you have selected Add New Employee, you will be directed to the Employee Pre-Registration Screen. Page instructions are provided as well as a form that can be downloaded for the new employee to complete.




Workflow Progress

As you proceed to complete the various screens that are part of the pre-defined workflow path, the system will indicate the progress made, on the left navigation pane.



Workflow Completed

Once the pre-defined workflow path has been completed and you have reached the Employee Payslip Screen, the Workflow indicated on the left navigation pane, will be replaced with the I want to-Quick Links.  These links provides an alternative from the Menu Bar, to navigate to employees’ screens.
